ingredients

  • ½ cup toasted pine nuts
  • 2 lightly packed cups basil leaves
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan (leave out for a vegan version)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor and start blending.
  2. Slowly add olive oil while blending.
  3. Process until smooth.

Notes

So many possibilities here. Any nut or combination of greens will do. I like:


  • walnuts + basil
  • almonds + 1 cup arugula + 1 cup basil
  • pine nuts + 1 1/2 cup basil + 1/2 cup dill
